Kua zanata


“Kua zanata” je prvi multifunkcionalni centar ija je namjena promocija i ouvanje dragocjenih tradicionalnih zanata koji su vijekovima definisali Sarajevo i njegovu historiju.
“Kua zanata” e kroz obrazovnu funkciju poticati prijenos vještina iskusnih majstora na mlae generacije, te teiti uspostavi saradnje izmeu zanatlija i modernih dizajnera kako bi zajedno istraili nove naine integracije tradicionalnih motiva i simbola u moderni dizajn.
Ona je jedinstveni ivi muzej koji tei da posjetiocima prui jedistven uvid u vještine usavršavane kroz mnoge generacije.

U planu je da se u okviru „Kue zanata“ redovno odravaju pokretne izlobe razliitih zanatskih umijea, poput kujundija, kalajdija, opanara, koara i drugih. Kao promotivni centar, “Kua zanata” e imati redovni program promovisanja starih zanata, kako lokalnom stanovništvu, tako i turistima, posjetiocima Sarajeva.

“Kua zanata” u Sarajevu jedna je od aktivnosti u okviru projekta “Razvoj kulturnog turizma u Mostaru, Sarajevu i Skoplju”, kojeg provodi meunarodna nevladina organizacija Oxfam, ured u Sarajevu, kroz program SeeNet, a u saradnji sa lokalnim partnerima: Opinom Stari Grad Sarajevo, Kantonom Sarajevo i Gradom Sarajevo, te samim lokalnim zanatlijama.

House of Crafts


It would be near impossible to contain the vast volumes of the history of Sarajevo`s craftsmen under one roof. The new “House of Crafts” on Mula Mustafe Baseskije 55 attempts just that.

The “House of Crafts” is a multi-functional center focusing on promoting and preserving these precious, ancient craft that have defined this city for centuries.

This living breathing center aims to provide guests with a unique glance at the skills that have been mastered by many generations.

There are regular live exhibitions of the various trades like gold and silversmiths, coppersmiths, cobblers and leathersmiths.

The “House of Crafts” also serves educational purposes. It brings experienced men an women of the craft to pass their skills onto the newer generations. It also crosses designers and craftsmen together to explore new ways of integrating traditional motifs and symbols into modern design and interpretations.

As a promotional center “House of Crafts” has a regular program of promoting the crafts to locals and visitors alike.

To make this all a sustainable endeavor, the commercial side of things come in. Under the umbrella of a Fair Trade policy, the “House of Crafts” is a one-stop-shop for authentic and quality made handcrafts from the certified tradesman and women from the old town.

The project implemented by Oxfam, under the program SeeNet in cooperation with local partners from the Municipality Old Town Sarajevo, the City of Sarajevo, Canton of Sarajevo and, most importantly, by the local craftsmen themselves.
